Coffee Mornings are held annually in September to raise money for Macmillan – a charity that does extraordinary work, providing invaluable support to individuals and families affected by cancer – offering financial advice, emotional reassurance, and a hand to hold.
The first ‘Macmillan Coffee Morning’ was held in 1990, and it has since become one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events.
I was pleased to take part in a number of these ‘Coffee Mornings’ recently:
- At the Senedd, in my capacity as Health Minister, where I met charity representatives and individuals who have directly benefited from Macmillan’s support.
- Online – fundraising virtually with members from Mid & West Wales.
- At a special event in St Davids, where the community came together over a cuppa and cake in support of this important cause.
Macmillan Cancer Support continues to stand as a pillar of strength and solace for countless individuals and families grappling with the challenges of cancer.
Their unparalleled dedication ensures that every individual impacted by cancer doesn’t face it alone.
