It was great to visit year 6 students at Ysgol Griffiths Jones in St Clears, who are actively engaged in the Climate Challenge Cymru project, which seeks to raise awareness of the importance of environmental mate action among young people.
The students were eager to take up a number of challenges and came up with a wide range of ideas for reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable living. Some suggested initiatives such as active travel, plastic reduction and solar panels on school buildings, while others proposed educational campaigns to raise awareness.
They are setting a great example for their peers and for the wider community and I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with in their projects!
